If this represents our line up today, I feel sorry for the team being lead by Hyde. Rutschman leading off? Mountcastle 2nd? Hicks still in the lineup? Guy is out thinking himself.

They're great, but I think they're buying into their own hype some. They're vulnerable, IMO.

Orioles are a bit ahead of schedule. They're really good, but they overachieved their pythag by 7 wins (94-68) and were 30-16 in one-run games. They've got some promise in that rotation, but outside of Bradish/Rodriguez it's rather meh. I like Means a lot, but he's coming off TJS and has barely pitched the last two years. He's a bit of an unknown going into 2024. There's no reason they shouldn't be active in free agency and at the winter meetings, they've got plenty of prospects/young major leaguers that can be used to land established pitchers. Bullpen looks good but they're likely without Bautista next year. Orioles had one of the better lineups in 2023 and they have a ton of positional depth (six players with 2+ WAR and eleven players with 1+). They only had four players with negative WAR and none of them had more than 80 plate appearances.

Hyde should have left the lineup alone. Too bad Means couldn't go. Hyde really did have no other choice but I had no trust in our pitching which I pointed out at the beginning of the season. I am a fan of what Elias is doing but blame him for providing no creditable pitching for a team who was ready to win, like none! I'm sure they will fight on Tuesday as they have all season but if its true the "guys" talked during spring training and felt they had enough talent within to hunt for a WS, then they have failed in doing so. Nice story going from 83 wins to 101 wins but means very little in the end. Way to take advantage of a down Yanks/Boston season because that won't last long either.

You guys have a great roster of talent but need to be seasoned. Getting to the playoffs and the young guys on your team getting to experience it will benefit them in the years to come but right now y'all are facing a very talented team of veterans managed by a x3 WS champion manager. Hard to overcome.

Big one. We (Rangers fans) can't stand the Astros. They're cheaters and we want the opportunity to knock them off. Preferably in their building so it stings worse

yes, I remember the story of 2017, it seems to me that the stadium cameras were spying on the opposing catcher's signals. In the end they didn't even take the title away from him.

And Dusty Baker is nice as a character (who has nothing to do with 2017) but in the league final I will support the rangers!
