All kidding aside, I see this as very similar to USC hiring Helton.

I liked that he was the guy that the kids wanted to play for. I liked that we were getting an actual grown up to run the program after having a petulant child and a frat boy in charge.

Had concerns about his lack of name recognition and lack of head coaching experience.

So far, I'm still not 100% sold, but I have very few complaints.

For you and the other sane Ducks fans, I hope that you are able to say the same kinds of things a couple of seasons from now.

However, I also have to admit that part of me hopes he fails utterly like some others are predicting because the resultant OD meltdown will be epic.
