When one of the top college football jobs comes open there is going to be a lot of people talking about it, as it is already showing on this board. Lots of interest in the Ducks next head coach. So I will help the mods out with the numerous Oregon threads and lets limit all Oregon coaching search to this thread.

I will say it - I think Dino Babers with the right resources could be one heck of a coach. Think he would be a perfect fit for OD and the Ducks.

I've gotta say, if I was O Id go with Kiffin. Eugene is bleeding recruits right now and he could stop the blood loss. He's an offensive minded coach that matches O's fans expectations. But, most importantly, he can recruit. Give him O's swag & facilities and Id betcha 4 and 5 stars start rolling back in.

Among those SI expects to get strong consideration for the vacancy: former Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin, Washington State’s Mike Leach, Fresno State’s Jeff Tedford, Boise State’s Bryan Harsin and former Florida coach Jim McElwain, as well as Oregon offensive coordinator Mario Cristobal and defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt, the former USF coach. Sumlin, Leach, Tedford and McElwain all have strong ties within the Oregon power base.

We’re hearing that Oregon has some interest in Cal’s Justin Wilcox, who has deep ties to the Ducks program, but some close to him doubt he’d leave Cal after just one season.

They did?

At best they got 1/4th up the stairs before Taggart slammed the door.
sorry not buying it. just because Taggart left doesn't mean Oregon cant match or do better next season. especially with Herbert back and hopefully healthy all season.

When did we debate it before and when did you suggest it? I got no issue with BB

I think he would be perfect for the Ducks! ( Hate to say it) but at the same time the Ducks need to get back to the win ways so the whole conference gets stronger. He's still young and can build something pretty damn quick...

Not really sure why people bringing up Leach to Oregon. Leach locks kicks in tool sheds for talking back, what do you think he would do to Phil Knight tried bribing him into running the ball?

A lot want Cristobal which I find funny. A lot of people were down on Taggart because he didnt have a winning record but Cristobal's is way worse.
Leavitt is popular choice.
Wilcox
Baldwin
Harsin
some want Sumlin. Im not on board there.
