Taggart didn't leave with a show Cause or sanctions or with the university under investigation. as of right now it doesn't appear that any of the players Taggart brought in will end up the next Coly Lyerla or Cliff Harris

Oregon's program didn't crash because of the violations, there was no bowl ban and only one scholly lost.
Oregon crashed because the "Next Man Up" theory was a failure. I.E. Helfrich sucked as a HC.
Taggart leaving them high and dry could be far worse damaging. At the very minimum it will prolong Oregon's return to the basement.
