The vast majority of Bama fans on message boards are band-wagoner's. They were nowhere to be found a few years ago. Now that they've gotten back into success they act as if it's always been that way and always will.

It is what it is, but at least Alabama has the loss of 28 scholarships as one of the stiffest penalties by the NCAA in history, as a good reason for those years. They don't take all those scholarships to make you better! Sure wish it was today's softer NCAA!!! We also have bounced back quicker than any team hit like that! What's Nebraska's reason?

As for your 51-43 game those points in 2003 were a result of quadruple overtime!

Oregon has the very first NCAA title in basketball. 3 Pac tourney championships and 4 regular season titles.
Bama has no NCAA titles. 6 SEC tourney and 8 regular seasons titles.
So how much weight does the NC have to compensate the fewer tourney and regular seasons titles?

1939 champions? What did Oregon have to do to win it? I know in the 70's only 32 teams made the tournament!

For the record, you're the one who laughed at Bama basketball and made a smart ass comment. I just pointed out it has more history than you think. The year Indiana won all their games(1976)and went 32-0 Indiana beat Alabama 74-69 with Bama winning by 5 with 2:30 minutes to go in the NCAA. Bama beat North Carolina 79-64 in the first round. It was the only game Indiana really came close to losing.

Look, truth be told, the fact you won those 3 championships is awesome! However, sticking to you being a smart ass, I must be one too, so technically none of those trophies are in the true BCS Championship era! So if someone says how many BCS championships has Nebraksa won? The correct answer is ZERO!!!

Michigan beat a 10-1 Washington State team that lost by 13 points to Arizona State.

Nebraska took on the SEC Champion in Tennessee. A team led by none other than Peyton Manning.

UT's only losses that year were to #1 ranked teams in Florida and Nebraska. Unfortunately, for Peyton and crew, they were undressed to the tune of 42-17.

Yet Michigan needed a last second call from the referees to make it as such against Ryan Leaf. How those last 3 seconds just ticked off the clock...

No saying Bo Pelini is Nebraska's answer, but if these are Nebraska's dark years I'll take them over Bama's (4-7's), (3-8's), (4-9's).

Bo Pelini had never been a head coach prior to Nebraska and it's showed with his 4 losses per year. We can only hope he's learning and improving.

The Nebraska facilities in all three revenue generating sports and over-all athletics, are first class though.
