Bo Pelini has had some extreme ups and downs..........there is no arguing that.

But there is also no arguing the fact that he's been to 3 Conference Championship games in the past 4 years and has won 9 or 10 games in each of his first 5 seasons.

I am not complaining just yet.

Look, truth be told, the fact you won those 3 championships is awesome! However, sticking to you being a smart ass, I must be one too, so technically none of those trophies are in the true BCS Championship era! So if someone says how many BCS championships has Nebraksa won? The correct answer is ZERO!!!
 They are as follows (nope, no Nebraska on there):

1998: Tennessee
1999: Florida State
2000: Oklahoma
2001: Miami (Florida)
2002: Ohio State
2003: LSU
2004: USC
2005: Texas
2006: Florida
2007: LSU
2008: Florida
2009: Alabama
2010: Auburn
2011: Alabama
2012: Alabama

Nebraska wasn't winning those championships hiding in the Rose Bowl. They were playing the best of the best. #3 Miami, #2 Florida, #3 Tennessee.

Do your homework on the Bowl Alliance and Bowl Coalitions. Every conference joined them to match #1 vs #2 except the Big 10 and PAC 10. They wanted to protect the Rose Bowl. Nebraska was not in the Big 10 at the time so they had to take the next highest ranked team in 1994 and 1997.

No saying Bo Pelini is Nebraska's answer, but if these are Nebraska's dark years I'll take them over Bama's (4-7's), (3-8's), (4-9's).

Bo Pelini had never been a head coach prior to Nebraska and it's showed with his 4 losses per year. We can only hope he's learning and improving.

The Nebraska facilities in all three revenue generating sports and over-all athletics, are first class though.

Times have changed and Alabama certainly has shown it is the bell cow of college football right now! I don't see them going anywhere for a while either. And smart ass comment to follow or not, it took a hammering from the NCAA to produce Alabama's dark years. I feel pretty good about our future. Those so called dark years seem forever ago. How about Nebraska's? Good luck with those four loss seasons since you seem to be satisfied with them. :L

The fact that Nebraska even has 5 National Championships should embarrass the hell out of every other program in the country.....

What in the hell was every program down South doing while Nebraska was reeling in Titles with a roster 75% filled with home grown walk-on farm kids?

Not just reeling off wins... Beating the living piss out of so-called SEC juggernauts.

Actually, the fact is, Nebraska flat out owned the SEC for a long time.

What can we learn from Nebraska, the last team to own the SEC? - SBNation.com

Over a 24-year period book-ended by a 1978 loss to Alabama in Birmingham and a 2002 loss to Ole Miss in Shreveport, Nebraska went 9-0 against SEC opponents. Included in this run were three major bowl wins over LSU – two of which were in the Tigers’ backyard of New Orleans – and three more major bowl wins over Tennessee and Florida in the late '90s, all by huge margins and all at a time when Steve Spurrier and Phillip Fulmer were at their apexes.

I know all about that but it doesn't change the truth in my post! However, it's kind of silly that we are going back and forth like this with two of the most storied programs in college football history but I can do it as long as you want. It seems like a mistaken identity got us off on the wrong foot and we can keep doing this or stop and acknowledge both programs and move on. You're call! :suds:

And you still know nothing if you think Alabama is just bandwagon fans.

I'm referring to the shit talkers on message boards. I knew bama fans when I was down there. They were easily identifiable by the piss blotch in their jorts.

1939 champions? What did Oregon have to do to win it? I know in the 70's only 32 teams made the tournament!

For the record, you're the one who laughed at Bama basketball and made a smart ass comment. I just pointed out it has more history than you think. The year Indiana won all their games(1976)and went 32-0 Indiana beat Alabama 74-69 with Bama winning by 5 with 2:30 minutes to go in the NCAA. Bama beat North Carolina 79-64 in the first round. It was the only game Indiana really came close to losing.

I'm done with the basketball talk Olyduck. I'll let you be the judge.

For the record, no I didn't. Different Duck fan

Nah.

You are worthless in and of yourself.

Pimp your pathetic ranking website some more, and then try to convince anybody you have an IQ above 100 from here on out.
