Tennessee just spent almost 50 million on a new facility...looks nice. I'll share pics if I can find any.
Really Oregon wasn't out on the field with blood, sweat and hard work getting faster, stronger, better, than almost everyone else they played? they didnt build up from Brooks and just being happy to make a bowl, to Bellotti to contending for the conference, to Kelly and owning the conference? they didnt earn that?
And are you really gonna tell me that you dont think the Huskies and Sark wouldn't want a Fiesta Bowl?
The weaton return lead to uncle phil dumping buckets of money that put Oregon with the best facilities in the conference and after that the team grew at an unprecedented pace. This is not hard working your way to the top, it is buying bling to attract the kids you wouldn't have had. Yes, you still had to win with those kids, but they were bought and paid for.
Of course they would prefer a fiesta over anything they have had in the last decade. Doesn't that go without saying? I just wanted to point out that all that money didn't buy you a real championship. I was making sure I didn't get misquoted later.
I believe I understand what your saying, Phil dumps tons of money into a state of the art facilty, buys the football team over a dozen of costumes, I mean uniforms and there offical score of National Titles in Football,WizardHawk;3215390] I just wanted to point out that all that money didn't buy you a real championship. And then of course Nebraska has by far the best basketball facilities in the world.
this hasn't done much with performance on the court...Nebraska isn't even a contender for the B1G title going into next year.
They just built the facilities. It's not like a building is going to magically make the current players play better. It's to get better recruits.
Give it 4-6 years and then we can talk.
LOL, Texas LAUGHS at any Nebraska moron that thinks they have better facilities than the Longhorns. Get real kid.
I know this, but I don't even see Nebraska on any of the top players short list. Hell, not even on their radar. You';d think that amazing facility going up youd be able to grab one stud. And unlike other sports. One player can really make a difference in basketball. So you get one 4 or 5 star recruit who is legit, yes your team could be better the very next season.
I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt on this one as you probably just don't know........
But seriously, Nebraska's facilities are top of the line. It just doesn't seem possible to most people who don't know.
It's ok Ducks. Be proud of your Niketown cordinated facilites. You got a vegas lounge waterfall in the lockeroom. You've always got that over the rest of the PAC. You can always brag about that.
Along with the "waterfall," Alabama's players will come back to new lockers, graphics, position meeting rooms and a theater-style meeting room -- located where the Crimson Tide previously pumped iron -- when they kick off camp in August.
