I'm actually a bit surprised only 2 Panthers have made the list so far, Kalil at #93 and Hardy at #53. I expect to see 5 more.

I think that the only really clear snub is Michael Bennett. I believe he was the most underrated player on our roster last year, he consistently generated an effective pass rush outside and from the interior and stopped the run extremely well.

I think there is no doubt Bennett deserves to be in it. Brandon Mebane, Bobby Wagner, K.J. Wright and Cliff Avril are all fringe guys IMO. I'd have to look at who was ranked higher at those positions to determine if they were snubbed or not though. Had Max Unger and Russell Okung been healthy they probably would've made it.

Despite the fact that you disagree with the lack of Seahawks in the top 100, I don't think it is a show of disrespect to the Seahawks as just about every major sports site has them as a favorite for the NFC Championship going into next year.

Personally it doesn't really matter to me how many Seahawks are listed in NFL Network's top 100, as we are the Superbowl champions and could very likely repeat again this upcoming season.

Poor Seahawks don't get any respect. :bawling::bawling:

Well, only you can tell us your age, but...........The Seahawks have garnered all the respect I need. We are the Champs and your 9ers are old history, called ancient. LOL huh.

Respect is earned, and the Seahawks EARNED it, your montana team was great, but history, old history. Please feel free to say you were a HUGE fan when they won those PAST 5. Congrats.

Go Hawks.:suds:

I think it is quite possible to have players not ranked as high individually play together as team and accomplish more than a team of individuals that each are more respected individually. That's because their team plan sucks by comparison. The Seahawks have taken many unnoticed players, motivated them, and done all the right stuff to make the team. Everyone knows big egos get in the way of team play.

I think Bennett should be on the list. Wagner is in the conversation, but it's not a sexy position and it's tough to argue for him over guys like Bowman, Dansby/Washington, or Kuechly. Seattle's defensive front-four is hurt because they rotate so much. It reduces their individual statistical production, and other players probably have somewhat more respect for a guy who plays almost every snap (say Justin Smith in his prime) than for a guy who plays 60-70% of snaps. It's hard to argue that any of Seattle's offensive players other than Lynch deserves to be on the list.

If there was a top-200 list, I think we'd see a lot of Hawks on the list, particularly on defense. But even then, the reality is that the offense gets by largely due to Lynch's incredibly physical running style and Wilson's elusiveness.

Mebane deserves to be on the list well before Bennett does. Mebane is the most underrated Seahawk.

Apparently your fellow Seahawk poster doesn't agree. :noidea:

"And you guys wonder why Seahawks fans are so testy. No respect....."

Definitely the most underrated. Still not sure he's in the top-100, though.

Well I am bias but I think Mebane is one of the top 100 players, but either way my argument was that Mebane deserved to be on the list well before Bennett or Avril. The best 4 defensive players on Seattle's defense in my opinion is

1. Thomas
2. Sherman
3. Mebane
4. Chancellor

I'd probably say something like this:

1. Richard Sherman
2. Earl Thomas
3. Kam Chancellor
4. Byron Maxwell (More of a projection here, see the image I attach at the bottom of this)
5. Michael Bennett
6. Brandon Mebane
7. K.J. Wright
8. Bobby Wagner

Why I believe going into the next season Maxwell is the 4th best player on the defense:
