Didn't feel like looking for the fancy stats thread, but that is damn impressive.

I wonder how many of those he's been bounced out the first round? :noidea:

He takes these teams dominant during the regular season and completly collapsing in the first.

I like how the East playoffs are four teams at the top who are in and safe, and four teams at the bottom who all look at the Bruins in the number one spot, and think: NOPE.

If we work together, we can ensure that the Red Wings are the ones to play the Bruins.

And I think we can agree that your intra-state rivalry with the Pens would make for a better series. As would the Rangers/Jackets Drama. So, like, go ahead and lose tonight and the next one, okay?

Remember, we gave you Mason and Voracek. You owe us.

"Twatwaffle" is a jackass - does he really think the Flyers are going to lose on purpose just to play the Penguins? If the Flyers risk that, they might get Boston instead

Media people are delusional

A) I don't really feel like getting any closer to Boston than I have to.
B) Any debt we might owe you from Voracek or Mason is nullified by one word, say it with me now: Bob-rov-skyyyyyyyyyyyy.

I didn't think he implied the Flyers would tank to get Boston, just that of their four likely options (NYR home/road, PIT road, Boston road) they'd rather have the Pens.

I will say, Boston/Detroit and Pittsburgh/Philly seems like two REALLLLLLY good first round matchups. Plus it segues nicely into Boston/Montreal and Pitt/NY or NY/Philly in the second round.

The point is, if they want to play the Penguins, they'd have to throw the last few games and the way the Flyers have played this season, they should be able to win at least two of the last three games - they would have to throw these games to really lose them all

And if you risk that, instead of getting the Penguins you might get Boston instead

If I hear one more person say the Flyers would rather play the Penguins and should do whatever it takes to make it happen, I will slap that person unconscious

Flyers/Penguins first-round matchup would be awesome. If any team does know how to rattle the Pens, it sure as hell is the Flyers. I'll give them that and I did enjoy that series 2 years ago in round one.

If the Penguins and Flyers don't meet up in the playoffs, who will be the state champs then?

Keep in mind his "Word from Philly" pretty much amounts to someone with a twitter handle of @lovecheesteak saying it.

Feel my pain with that idiot.

2 points for correct use of twatwaffle, by the way.

We took Jeff Carter too. :D

Fuck Jeff Carter.

Aaron Portzline said it. I can tell you what building his office is in and where he usually sits during practices.

I know the pain, was forced to follow him after all the speculation of Nash to the Rangers during the deadline, before finally getting him last season. Couldn't stand the guy. Had to stop following him.

Face it, any team would rather face the Penguins in the playoffs, as long as Bylsma is coach and MAF is in net.
