Ok to get this thread back on topic. :nutswing: - this has nothing to with the comment but it is worth using as much as humanly possible. :nutswing:

Vinny Prospal retires after 16 seasons - ESPN

Good bye Vinny, were you even missed? :noidea:

From a Rangers fan perspective, we miss him and will miss him. Loved that guy on our team, great veteran leader, great in the locker room, scored some clutch goals for us. Always a fan of his.

Yeah too bad it never really happened for him in the playoffs except one extended run as a Flyer.
To be honest I was surprised that no one signed him prior to the season.

Just finished a problem at work, and sit down to see McTabasco in net for the Jackets.

Congrats to Kenny and the Sens on their commanding win.

Yes. Jackets desperately need his energy. I would take him in Umberger's place any day. I would love to see him as a coach, even.

Not so fast. The Senators are experts are making journeyman backups look like the second coming Terry Sawchuk.

Seems like a lifetime ago that the Sens picked this guy up in the "daigle" trade.:laugh3: They too could use a veteran who can put up some points.

You were saying? The best we can hope for with Tabasco is the second coming of Hardy Astrom.

Jackets look like their strategy is "two extra passes - that will work".

Frenchie pots two so far.

Kenny, with all due respect...

Do NOT bitch about the refs being biased against the Sens tonight. How in the HELL was that interference on Golubef? JEEZ

I missed it live. I'll have to watch it later. There have been some pretty piss poor calls both ways though for sure.

Gotta love how consistent Richards is as a coach.

Team not in synch? Keep mixing lines so they never get there.

At least the PP game winner was on a penalty that was real. :)

Congrats Kenny

LOL. I actually just re-watched that segment and I see no issue with the call. Neil hadn't yet retrieved the puck when Golubef put his stick into Neil's midsection, then finished the check.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

The last 2 minutes though had missed a CBJ offside that nearly resulted in the tying goal and a crucial blown call that resulted in a CBJ icing. Pretty poor game by all involved.

Do you think Calvert touched that? I didn't go back to watch it, but at game speed it looked like he touched it and then got there first anyway.

As for Golubef's hit, my issue is the exact same hit is made 10x per game and never called. Why there? Why then?

At least they didn't punish Methot for that clinical quality hipper on Foligno. Pure beauty.
