Will anybody be watching the Rangers/Hawks game tonight and want me to post a GDT here to talk in?

If the Flyers weren't playing tonight, I'd probably watch it all, but the two games will be overlapping for the most part

And the Abysmal Nad is at the top of the mountain.

Pens have been pretty damn lucky with their coaches. Those three names are legends (though only one is really an NHL legend).

Since November 1st, covering a span of 30 games, the Maple Leafs have won only 5 games in Reg./OT. Only one of these (Buffalo, NYI, Chicago, Carolina and Dallas (OT)) has come against a team that is currently in a playoff position.

Through all this they have somehow maintained a playoff spot. How? the shootout. They have 6 shootout wins during that stretch. Obviously playing bad hockey but somehow managing to stick around. Yup. That's the NHL point system for you.

Example A as to why they should get rid of the SO.

Agreed. I have no faith that the NHL will actually do that though. So maybe they need to at least go to a three point system. 3 points for reg./OT wins. 2 points for shootout wins, 1 point for SO loss.

Yupp, just wish they would do 2 periods of OT. 5 minutes 4 on 4 then 3 minutes 3 on 3. Somebody is bound to score.

Everytime that points system is brought up, it's shot down because the powers to be feel it is too complicated for us fans to follow.

/I'm not kidding
//I would love this points system to be brought in, though.

FarhanLaljiTSN: Torts indicated post game that Booth & Weise would be sitting again. Ferriero being sent down likely means Burrows is playing Fri #canucks

The Habs were down 2 goals at the end of that game and never pulled the goalie even when they had offensive forays with less than two minutes to go. Now granted, I'm of the opinion that you should pull the goalie earlier than most do, but not pulling him at all? That's just dumb.
