you know regular season success is great but its playoff performance that counts. If Seguin played like this in the Cup finals last year Bruins win and he'd still be in Boston

If Tyler didn't perform like he did vs Tampa Bay in the conference finals you wouldn't have a cup in 2011

Watching all the highlights tonight, two epic goalie flops. One by Mike Smith (shocker) and the worst by Kevin Poulin on Long Island.

Steen gets #16

That makes 16 in 17 games so far. Hard to believe his career high was only 24 back in 09-10.

Not bad return for a guy who's got a $3.5M salary and a $3.3M cap hit this season.

Looks like someone will be in for a mighty nice raise next season.

Huh. The Twatwaffle can pull interesting stuff out once in a while. Note in last nights game summary:

-- Bruins D Adam McQuaid is out with a lower body injury. He was a Blue Jackets' second-round draft pick (No. 55 overall) in 2005, but was traded to Boston before the Jackets' rights to him expired in the summer of 2007. That trade was handled by former Blue Jackets assistant GM Jim Clark because GM Doug MacLean had been fired a few weeks earlier and Scott Howson, MacLean's replacement, had not yet been hired. The Jackets got a fifth-round pick in the 2007 draft from Boston in return for McQuaid, then traded the pick, along with two other fifth-round picks, to Dallas so they could move up and draft Maksim Mayorov, then a highly-regarded Russian prospect. The Stars used that pick to draft Jamie Benn.

In theory, the Jackets could have had Jamie Benn and Adam McQuaid and instead wound up with Maksim Mayorov.

This is why they hired JD and Jarmo. They understand the draft is not a game.

Sucks they lost that one last night, but at least they are not handing wins over. They are making the teams beat them with honest work. And they've hit five posts in the last two games.
