So, apparently Hulk Smash was a good career move.

they got rid of the wrong goalie.
and while he's only 27, i have a feeling this contract won't age well.

Binnington is 18th in the league with a .908 sv%. Following from his meltdown against Van last summer I’m not sure there isn’t a not-good trend there that would give me reason to pause before giving him a 6x6.
But hey what do I know I watch Freddy fucking Andersen every night.
I have not watched any Flyers games this year, but this guy has. And maybe the Flyers should hire him.Death, taxes, and goaltending is an issue in Philadelphia.

Well, guess that kills the rumors that we're trading Elvis.
He's either a decent bottom pair option who was the odd man out on a suddenly deep Leafs blue line or the guy who couldn't out-battle Martin Marincin for a spot on the taxi squad.@Bloody Brian Burke help me out. What do I need to know about him?
VV has all the tools to be a very strong goalie, but hasn't yet adapted to NA ice. Your goalie coach may have some work ahead of him, but the upside is huge.

He'll never replace Aaron DellVV is also waiver exempt, it's probably his most valuable tool right now
There's been a lot of talk locally that Finnish National Team coach Jukka Jalonen has been in Jarmo's ear about coaching in the NHL, and Jarmo is in favor of the idea more than hiring another re-tread. Lehtonen was captain of Jalonen's Jokerit team and on the National team. So, naturally there's some buzz about him around here. Lots of hope that it's a precursor to to Jalonen coming over. He's either a decent bottom pair option who was the odd man out on a suddenly deep Leafs blue line or the guy who couldn't out-battle Martin Marincin for a spot on the taxi squad.
If CBJ is planning on moving out d-men it's the kind of guy you gamble on maybe coming good with more ice time. There was some excitement in getting him last summer.

I think it's more that there's another deal in place for Savard (+, obviously) for a center and the depth is needed.
This seems good
