I watched Paquette generally terrorize the Jackets last night in Carolina (as is tradition), but no. Hadn't watched him much if at all. Just know his stats took a nose dive and he seemed to be falling a step behind in the playoffs last year.

I've never been terribly impressed by Galchenyuk. I might have taken a chance on him 4 or five teams (2-3 weeks) ago.

Final set of schedule updates are out for the Sabres after their 2 week Devils-induced bye. They get one 2 day break and one 3 day break between now and the end of the season. Those are also the only two weeks in which they won't play 4 games.

Un-fucking-real. When is the league going to realize they're putting players' safety (covid aside even) at risk by insisting on so many games in such a short window?

I am actually surprised at how few people have been claimed on waivers lately. Wonder if there's some kind of agreement between the GMs that no one will fuck with taxi squad moves.
