Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, ‪March 28, that the team has signed defenseman Zdeno Chara to a one-year contract extension through the 2018-19 season worth $5 million, plus an additional $1.75 million in performance-based incentives.

The more the merrier, I always say. Looking forward to the Bruins - Leafs series, Toronto is a entertaining team to watch and well, the Bruins were my team before the Flames came to Calgary.

I remember watching Bruins - Leafs from Maple Leaf Gardens on HNIC as a wee lad and Leafs fans booing Bobby Orr and asking my dad, "Why are the fans booing Bobby Orr?"

My dad just smiled and replied, "Because he's the best player in the league and they wish he played for the Leafs".
