Barzal's a wonderful talent for sure. I always expected big things from him, looks like those are happening.

I guess Wilson decided the hit was dirty then? :noidea:

Personally, if retribution was necessary, I think Wilson was the wrong guy. Too large a class disparity. Orpik would have been a better choice IMO. Ovie would be acceptable also.

Wilson and Thornton are the same height and weight. Ovi is heavier than both (insert fat joke here ;) ).

So, no problems with the dancing partners, but after watching the hit a few more times, I'd say Thornton COULD have avoided Oshi better, but he also didn't do much. Not fight worthy imo, though if this is among Wilson's top 3 transgressions for the year, he'd be doing pretty good.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought he was referring to the fact a scrub like Wilson doesn't have the stature to go up against a legend like Thornton (although I'm not sure Orpik would either).

None of those players were in the top 100, sounds even to me.

D-men should take face-offs, then once they win the puck there are 3 wingers to move the puck up the flanks. Who's catching up to that?!

I actually expect Werenski to be taking faceoffs soon.

He has brought back the "rover" position. I have seen him hounding the puck in corners in the O zone like a centre (note - metric spelling) should be.

That was more my line of thought.

Iggy would have been a great choice, but apparently he is washed up.

Devils get embarrassed Saturday night against the Coyotes and come out tonight and play lights out against the Jackets. Let's see which team shows up this weekend.
