Looks like the NHL DOPeS gave a lifetime achievement award to Gudas - I mean, no way this hit is worth a 6 game suspension, but when you look at his cumulative rap sheet, it's long overdue.

Was thinking the same thing....6 games was pretty brutal for an 'interference' penalty. While the hit wasn't all that clean, his prior BS antics probably warranted this. Guy is entering Raffi Torres-ville.

One of the two are staying for a full season. My guess is they'll both get their 9 games. Problem with sending Barzal back to juniors is that he's got nothing to prove there anymore. 100 point season would be likely....

They wont burn an ELC year in the AHL either...wouldn't make sense.

Dropping PAP to me says they're ready to keep a few young guys.
You get both. Both!

There was some talk yesterday that he was a better fit for the Leafs than Pulkkinen.

Surprised nobody lower than Minny claimed Pulkkinen.

I think Griffith is a better fit for the Leafs than Pulk as well. Still has the skill to fit their new style but is less of a perimeter guy than Pulkkinen. Toronto already has marner and Nylander to fill the role of perimeter, highly skilled forward. Pulk is just an inferior version of those guys.

If they're planning to stick him on the 4th line with Martin and Holland it'll be nice to give that line a bit of offensive help in case Brown isn't NHL-ready yet.

I'm assuming Parenteau is insurance for when Camm/Beau Bennet eventually get hurt.

Guy just moved into a house on Long Island...at least he doesn't have to move his family again. I hope PAP does well for you guys. Just not against us......
