Scott Wedgewood waived by the Devils, he was the odd man out for NJ's goaltending corps. He'd be a nice pickup for a team looking for a young backup with starter potential.

Have to wonder why the Devils brought in Anders Lindback. He's 4 years older than Wedgewood and not as good. Strange move by Shero on that one.

Not sure if anything's changed the past few days but McKenzie said the other day it was doubtful Barzal stays up.

Not sure about Beauvillier, though.

One of the two are staying for a full season. My guess is they'll both get their 9 games. Problem with sending Barzal back to juniors is that he's got nothing to prove there anymore. 100 point season would be likely....

They wont burn an ELC year in the AHL either...wouldn't make sense.

Dropping PAP to me says they're ready to keep a few young guys.

I think PA Parenteau will get claimed by somebody, I mean he did score 20 goals last season, that's not chump change.

He'd almost be in the Jackets top six out of the gate. Jackets seem to think that Milano needs more work and Hannikainen isn't sticking. He could find a role here.

Leafs need to claim Pulkkinen. Worth even sending Brown back down to the Marlies.

Going to be tough for him. He's got a lot of wingers ahead of him in the pecking order now, one more if the Leafs do claim Pukkinen.

Looks like the NHL DOPeS gave a lifetime achievement award to Gudas - I mean, no way this hit is worth a 6 game suspension, but when you look at his cumulative rap sheet, it's long overdue.
