McJesus #2 behind Crosby - I see lots of solo rushes because there's no way Milan 'The Lummox' Lucic will be able to keep pace with Connor the speed merchant.

They're probably banking on all of those Adam Larsson outlet passes :noidea:

OV doesn't like the current playoff format...

Ovechkin critical of NHL playoff format
"Under the old format - where division leaders were seeded 1 through 3 and the other five best teams rounded out the eight seeds with reseeding taking place at the end of every round - the two teams wouldn't have met until the Eastern Conference Final."

Because Ovi and the Caps always got past the second round of the old format.

:D

I miss the old days when two teams from the same conference (heck even the same division) could play for the Stanley Cup. I mean, wouldn't it be great if we could get a Boston - Montreal, Toronto - Detroit or Calgary - Edmonton Stanley Cup final series?

/Okay, I might have to be exhumed to see Edmonton even making the playoffs, but the point stands.

He's not wrong. The seeding is moronic. But a loss in the ECF finals is all the same as a loss in the semis...

But as a fan I'd rather see the two best teams in the Conference playing in the Conference Finals not the 2nd round. And while the Sharks did win the West I still think the Blues and Stars were the two best Western Conference teams.

standings 1-16, and go. I liked that too.
only unfairness with that was if you cleaned up on regular season points playing in a shitty division

You did in both conferences, and the Stars with their two cardboard cutouts taking turns stinking the joint up in net were barely able to survive Minnesota. Having the best offence in the conference doesn't make you the best team in the conference.

So apparently Michel Therrien called Patches the worst captain in Habs history at a charity golf tournament.

No rispek.

In my opinion that's classless. :pound:

Might be a fun season in Montreal this year. :dhd: :trash:

That's ok, my money's on Therrien no longer being Habs coach once the calendar reaches 2017.
