I'll repeat when I posted in the other thread - Rename them the Roadrunners.

Also of note, the Canadian dollar cracked 79 cents US this morning and appears headed to 80 cents US in short order.

OPEC will likely freeze production in the coming months. If they do, Loonie should top 85 cents by year end.

This coaches' challenge for offsides has to stop. It has overturned a bunch of goals where the "technical" offsides had nothing to do with the goal being scored.

There was the one that the Hawks got reversed, where like 85% of the Blues player was in the neutral zone, but his back foot was off the ice. That shouldn't be offside. Offside should just be when the whole player precedes the puck into the zone.

I'd be surprised if they agree to cut. Saudi won't if Iraq won't, and Iraq won't becuase they are pissed about sanctions.
And it's the U.S. shale production that is throwing the global supply picture off anyway.

I think they've just got to try to find the right balance still. There have also been examples - Hedman's goal that was called back for instance - where the offsides directly led to the goal.

The skate on the ice rule could use some tweaking, but that's just going to introduce a new wrinkle of extending the blue line vertically into the air. Not that the idea itself is bad, but imagine how many calls we're going to complain about then.

Give it time. The league will figure out how to make it better before spending the next 20 years tinkering with it anyhow.

They were meeting on a freeze but talks apparently blew up.

Looks like Saudi Arabia and Iran were the two bickering brothers, as usual. Russia was trying to play deal-maker (they desperately need a freeze at the very least) but Pooty didn't do so well.

Still, the Canadian economy is growing in most sectors and job growth has been solid this year. The loonie should be able to, at the very least, stay above 75 cents. That alone should ensure at least a bit of cap growth.

Oil going up is a good thing in oil producing provinces as it helps create jobs and is good for provincial coffers. I expect it at $60 within the next year.

As to the playoffs Washington can wrap it up tonight and Dallas, San Jose, the Islanders can all grab commanding leads.

Personally, I am hoping for all of those things.

I want to know why the Oilers player has a playoff beard. It should be much longer considering it's been a decade.

Looks like unless they don't complete epic comebacks we might see our first new Cup champ since 2009 as Chicago and LA are on the brink of elimination.
