Didn't watch the game (was watching the O's). Thought that being down 3-0 that the Caps would just play it out since they have nothing to really play for but saw that they came back, just to lose in OT. At least they're still showing some resolve that they're taking these games seriously still. Just hope that they get their losing out of their system now when it doesn't really matter before the playoffs next week. Don't want to see another choke job that they're famous for in the playoffs.

They are trying to get Holtby the single-season wins record, I'm pretty sure that's all that's driving them now (plus maybe OV getting 50). Also, I'm sure they want to enter the playoffs on a slightly more positive note - they've got one of the worst records in the East in their last ten games. (Amongst playoff teams.)

Also - why does this board keep telling me "amongst" is not a real word? WTH?

I figure that Holtby will only get one more chance at the record since they have back to back games this weekend and will rest him in the makeup game Sunday against Anaheim and play Grubauer instead. But yes, they definitely need to right the ship the next two games to get ready for next week.

Anaheim looks to be in stealth tank mode. They want the Sharks it appears.

Holy fuck. Can the Islanders please stop getting injured? They are running at a guy-a-game clip right now......

Not sure the Isles will be able to put up much of a fight this postseason with these injuries. Depends on who they draw I suppose. But losing Lee for the season/post season is rough, especially on top of Hamonic/Halak injuries. The goalie situation is tenuous at best, so losing guys who can score isn't great.

I'm sure you'll be happy to see the Pens play the Isles.....although if I were a Pens fan, I'd want the Rangers. They just look awful right now.

To bad to see all these injuries for the Islanders especially as it seems they'll draw the Penguins in Round 1.

Jimmy Vesey wins the Hobey Baker (in somewhat of a surprise) over Kyle Connor.

@GlobeKPD

As a father, said Jim Vesey, Sr, he would suggest his son NOT sign with Bruins. Reason: too much scrutiny and pressure for a hometown kid.

Looks like the Leafs!

Canucks fans getting ready to rejoice as the Jackets have a 3-1 lead over the Sabres after 40 minutes.

Brandon Saad with his 30th of the season makes it 4-1 Jackets.

I'm not in the picking your poison kinda place...the Habs ruined me for that. But, I will say that Hank can still steal a series, even if he did put the welcome mat to his psyche out for the Pens when he flipped that net.

The only thing I can figure is he's somehow talked them into devaluing that 2nd pick.

Brandon Saad with his 30th of the season makes it 4-1 Jackets.

First time in club history they've had 2 30 goal scorers. Congrats Brando

The whiny little bastard in me still wonders what he'd have if he had a legit #1 Center like Johansen all year. Remember, he played long swaths of the season with Bourque and Campbell.

Paranteau's goal for the Leafs gives him 20 on the season. There was a chance they would not have a 20 goal scorer for the first time since 39-40.

Possibly Elias last game (or at least last game as a Devil). Zacha gets on the board with his first assist.
