His contract holdout, at least according to Douglas, appears to be the result of him overhearing Riseborough saying he wants to rid the team of him.

Can't really pin that on Gilmour.

Was Doug Risebrough a horrible GM? Absolutely he was. Plenty of blame to go around during that time, but I also think some of that blame lands at the feet at Gilmour.

Have to agree with BBB here. Riseborough was an asshat of a GM.

Wasn't the whole ordeal down to an arbitrated contract that Gilmour felt was light because the team management wined and dined the arbitrator?

I have to say I'm very happy that Marchand is having such a good year.

Means the B's will have to sign him to a fucking ridiculous extension this summer and inch ever-so-closer to permanent cap hell

In 2 years' time, the Atlantic Division may make for some bloody red seas. Every team in the division has a realistic shot of being competitive by then, so any disadvantage to a rival is A-OK by me.
