If you make the customers foot the bill the people who get the most pissed off are the people who like and support the team. If you make taxpayers foot the bill the people who get the most pissed off are the people who don't like and don't support the team. Principles and ethics aside, it's an easy decision for an owner which way to go when you think of it that way.

I'm not really faulting owners for doing. People (outside of perhaps Trump-ian trust fund kids) don't get rich by spending til the cows come home. They're businessmen, know what they're doing, and from a money preservation perspective, it's good business. Still scummy.

I am. Government-sanctioned theft is still theft.

I guess my thoughts are more that perhaps the elected public servants do what's in the best interest of their public...but that's a fantasy, I know.

Good, only issue is then that I'd have to see his face. Something about that guy I just loathe.

im mean ... if we were talking about ladies, disgusting chauvinistic sexist pigs (ok ... maybe me :noidea: ) would say "put a bag over her head" :bolt:

you could probably use it on Prust :noidea:

Since the Devils are taking on the Rangers tonight and all this Prust talk, it brings me back to 2012 and how hateable that Rangers team was. Prust, Mike Rupp, Dubinsky, Boyle, Torts, what an unlikable bunch of assholes they were.

Even if it wasn't fantasy, what you described still sounds like theft to me.

Maybe it's Flames colo(u)red glasses, but I don't remember Prust being such an asshat when he was in Calgary. Oh well, I hope Prusty the clown saved his money from his NHL career.

I am not a fan, I think they took a step back from the previous look and feel.

I kind of like it. More whites, so the overall feel is not so dark and black.

And, since you made me look, I see Ovi is not playing tonight. Wait, wut? You mean he is really injured and not just blowing off the ASG?

It reminds me of the changes that TSN made to their website several months ago, I thought the TSN website was pretty good previously and in my opinion, they made it look more clunky and less intuitive with this latest release (same goes for NHL.com). That said, it's just a website, it's not that big of a deal.

Just to clarify my position here, I definitely don't fault the owners et al as much for asking as I do the government that has the power to tell them to get bent. But they're not faultless here.

No, he's suspended for not going to the ASG, as is Toes.

"Clunky and less intuitive". That 'splains why I like it then :thumb:

Robust experiences are going away because more people are coming on tablets and mobile phones.

A lot of sites are stripping down.
