So now I'm pissed off.

For the last several seasons I've been able to watch all Montreal games not carried in English on RDS the French TSN.

Last night in a fit of boredom I thought I'll check out preseason scheduling after I saw a trailer say Montreal was playing.

So I hunted down RDS on my box (Ch 905) and the game was blacked out.

I looked at the new TSN channels and they had one blacked out too, probably the Montreal game?

If this is one of the results of SportsNet scooping the hockey broadcasts (for the most part) then I've just lost the games I watched most last year.

I'm getting closer and closer to dumping regular season hockey every year.

40 Habs games will be broadcast nationally. The new deal made the French-language broadcasts sync with the entire package, so indeed the only Habs games you will see on TV are the 40 nationally-broadcast ones.

Could always subscribe to GameCentre Live or Centre Ice, but other than that you are SOL.

Well, there is more of it on national television now than ever before.

For the average fan, this works out amazingly. If Habs fans are the only ones inconvenienced, I am absolutely okay with that
