Bullshit, IMO. Stone's hit was not predatory in the least and he has no history. Tell me that hit was more intenttional than Zetts breaking Pageau's nose with his flying elbow. If Stone gets 2 games for his hit then Zetts deserves 5.

Not even a stern talking-t from the league for the Wings captain though.

Not that I've watched any Carolina Hurricanes hockey games, but from what I can tell he's been playing on a line with Victor Rask (and Kris Versteeg??!!) and Rask seems to be playing centre for that line.

That probably won't hurt them in the long run...

Best guess is they do not expect him to be there at the start of next season so they're letting Rask get acquainted with the position.

Staal will likely be traded at some point this season.
