McDavid has popped his cherry.
McDavid has popped his McDavid.
So I was watching a replay of the Panthers - Hurricanes game and noticed some interesting things. Nah, just kidding.
Very much so.After seeing a good deal of Sharks so far this season I've been very impressed by Brent Burns. Does he have a shot at the Norris this season?
The Oilers don't have much to cheer about so it's hard to blame the fans. Still winless though. That 3 year contract for McDavid will go fast and he will be searching out a winner pretty quick if Edmonton can't get any game. Talented kid who wont rot in the Oilers franchise.I encountered the resident Pens fan in the breakroom moments ago. He was talking with someone else and he said, without a hint of irony, "God, I am so sick of McDavid this and McDavid that. It's like they think he's the only player on earth."
If he had said something like he's not even the best player on his team, I might have lost my composure.
How's he gonna go? A team could offer sheet him for $20 million and the Oilers would pretty much have to match. The Oilers don't have much to cheer about so it's hard to blame the fans. He's got to prove himself and he's got 3 years to do that. He can earn a max 3.75M per season if he hits all his bonus numbers. If he does pan out and the Oilers still suck, he can shop around in 3 years. At least he won't be sitting on the bench like he would be if he signed with a contender. Nobody's throwing the big bucks at him yet. Good prospect though. How's he gonna go? A team could offer sheet him for $20 million and the Oilers would pretty much have to match.
Obviously a long ways to go. I just hope, for his sake at least, Oilerdom doesn't get the best (worst?) of him. He's got to prove himself and he's got 3 years to do that. How's things Danny?
How pissed you think Lombardi still is at Sweeney for trading him there?Martin Jones has played 3 games for the Sharks.
He has won two of them by shutout. The Kings only got one on him in the other game.
3 games, one GA. .987, 0.33 GAA.
Keep it up, kid.
Thanks, doing good over here. Habs are 4-0 so no bitchin' on my part. The Leafs are really spoiling Babcocks arrival on the scene. At least you dumped Kessel but did you go far enough? Time will tell. I expect you'll put a pummeling on Columbus Friday.Obviously a long ways to go. I just hope, for his sake at least, Oilerdom doesn't get the best (worst?) of him.
Good man, nice to see you around. Hope you enjoyed the Habs paddling the Leafs around last week.
I'm hoping for an 0-81-1 season so...Thanks, doing good over here. Habs are 4-0 so no bitchin' on my part. The Leafs are really spoiling Babcocks arrival on the scene. At least you dumped Kessel but did you go far enough? Time will tell. I expect you'll put a pummeling on Columbus Friday.

He's having a fine time in Switzerland. 10 pts in his first 9 games. And proceeding to pick Buston Matthews?
