I would also add that it seems like people are sort of underestimating Dallas. Besides only being one game, it's not like this was a loss to a shit team.
That's the thing. The Pens record has been abysmal since about January against quality (above average) teams. The trend apparently continues.

So that was the consensus here too, right? That Edmonton were dumb to not take Seguin? Or is that just a "oh, they should've knowing what we know now"? Because it never made any sense to me why you would have a centre and a winger of almost equal potential and take the winger.

Well, you can always convert a centre to a winger, but it's much more difficult to convert a winger to the centre ice position. Flames are wondering if they should stick with Sam Bennett as a centre (my preference) or convert him to a winger.

He should most definitely remain at C. What's the argument for converting him? Not like they're exactly spoiled for choice down the middle...

I think they may be trying to shelter him a little and keep his confidence high. I say let him learn the ropes and even if he takes some lumps, he'll be the better player down the road.

Yep. Sure worked with Monahan, after all.

Hall ate a banana for the first time ever this summer. Seguin uses one like a phone.

Advantage: Push

would have been a bit awkward if Panarin said "I will be absolved of having done nothing wrong." :bolt:

Obviously, he's been hanging around Patty Kane too much.

Edit: Rats, that looked better until jstew beat me to the punch.

I'm probably not saying anything that you don't already know in your heart, but I don't think you can say that after one game.

Pretty much this. I mean, I expected the Pens to score, but I'm far from worried about them scoring goals this year. It'll happen. And 3 vs. Dallas, with two on the PP isn't awful. The PK needs work, and that starts by removing Rob Scuderi from the lineup. All very simple things. They'll be fine.

It's also a very different team. Can't judge this year's team on last years performance after one game.
