As a long suffering Mets fan I can't tell you how much I appreciate the Nationals efforts this year.
Nats certainly weren't boring.

I laughed and cheered at times, and got choked by others. - Bryce Harper
My teams combined likely have more titles than all of your teams combined.
/Who cares if none of those titles have been won in the past 20-50 years or that only 1 of my teams has won a fucking playoff round since John Kerry was a presidential candidate.
Kessel effect.
Why do I have the god-awful feeling that lottery-protected draft pick is going to bite the Leafs in the ass?
The whole business with the draft picks is the only part of the deal I disliked.Yet another thing that they probably didn't have to give in on to make the deal, but did anyway
I agree, anyone who watched could see that the shot totals don't tell the whole story, but they weren't out there rolling over or anything like that. The third was derailed with penalties, and I'm still salty about the high stick call on Geno. It was a follow through, but because it was a backhander they apparently just don't care. Special teams need some work. Not a fan at all of splitting up Sid/Geno on the PP, and as mentioned already, Scuderi on the PK is terrible when you're playing a fast team.
At least the Mets were in the WS 15 years ago and the NLCS 9 years ago.Reagan Administration for me.....barf.
I think people just assume with Dallas that a) Their goaltending is tenuous at best, b) Their defence is a never-ending work in progress, and c) Their second line is primed for regression.I would also add that it seems like people are sort of underestimating Dallas. Besides only being one game, it's not like this was a loss to a shit team.

And also committed highway fucking robbery on the Jays in the Dickey deal.
Tyler Seguin is my pick for the Art Ross this season.
I like it.Tyler Seguin is my pick for the Art Ross this season.
He keeps getting better, doesn't he?
Everybody always jumps on AA for the Marlins trade, and yeah hindsight and whatever, but those gold bar prospects he gave up for a 40 year old pitcher was insane from day 1.They certainly got fleeced on that one. I was so happy they ditched Thole in that deal too. Waste of a roster spot.
So that was the consensus here too, right? That Edmonton were dumb to not take Seguin? Or is that just a "oh, they should've knowing what we know now"? Because it never made any sense to me why you would have a centre and a winger of almost equal potential and take the winger.Just think, the Oil could have had him instead of Taylor Hall. Bruins could have used Seguin last night against the Jets.
