Plug in Nick Bonino, then plug in Brandon Sutter (lol)
Some men just want to watch the world burn.

"Oh, no. More crazy charts and fancy stats. Help me, what am I looking at here?"
"This basically says that almost all players fall somewhere on the chart between Tanner Glass and Sidney Crosby. And this is saying Jared Boll is worse than Tanner Glass."
"That makes total sense."
Edit: Own The Puck Tableau Visuals: The Glass-To-Crosby Scale
Have at it.
This seems....weird.
Yeah but wouldn't NBC be involved in that? Why MLB lolI would like to think that this means NHL Network would have more live programming in the US but I really don't know what to expect until the announcement comes out

Guess we'll find out later.
I just hope MLB doesn't completely take over to the point where they take away NHL highlights on youtube because that's how MLB does it, they don't have highlights on youtube - maybe it won't be a complete take over and they'd have to still go by the NHL rules
I assume this will happen. Overall though, this is likely a good marriage. MLB has much better coverage/programming on MLBN, and one can only hope some of that rubs off on NHLN.
Now that I am a member of generation Roku, I really couldn't care less what happens on "TV".
Give me a massive library of coaching videos, old games and features on players and who they really are. Give me minor hockey or European games. And give it to me online so I can choose when and what I watch. I'll pay for that.
I don't really need a 15th showing of the game where Mario scored his 500th, or the game where Patrick Roy went back to Montreal. I don't need Andy Petrillo asking scripted questions of Kevin Weekes in re-run four times a night.
I can watch Global, Sportsnet360, Sky Sports, Eurosport and CBC on my Roku. Or I can go online and get my info. The more TV channels that don't see the shift, or try to squeeze every penny out of content views (wanna see that again? 99 cents!), will slowly fade away.
To get me to tune back in to NHL Network regularly, they're gonna have to be a lot better than they are right now. And to get new fans, they are going to have to be a lot more accessible.
I also think it's stupid that my NHL Center Ice subscription does not give me the right to watch games online. Or vice versa. And now, they are saying I can order the online subscription, but only for my team if I want.
Brilliant. I can get those games over the air for free.
Now if only they'd follow the direction of the NBA (ugh, did I really just type that) and offer Center Ice either on a per game basis or a per team basis in addition to the full season package.
Not entirely sure how that package works come playoff time (though I'm thinking perhaps all NBA playoff games are on national broadcasts?), but giving fans options is always good, IMO.

How do you get Sky Sports on Roku? Can you also get BTSport? Now that I am a member of generation Roku, I really couldn't care less what happens on "TV".

NHL used to sell a PO only package, but they may have discontinued that now that all of the games are on the NBC networks. Full season package used to give you POs also.Or they may even do something similar to MLB, who offers a playoff package. Actually I think you have to buy a playoff package separate, even if you bought a full season package.
