Carlyle's a decent enough name I think to get himself another coaching job.

Yeah... He was great as Begbie in Trainspotting. I'd love to see this guy get his shot in the big show...

Wait!!

We're talking about RANDY Carlyle. Nevermind then.

I've got protest coverage instead of the Predators / Blackhawks game.

So Peter Chiarelli wants a heavier team in Edmonton. Seems like the BUZZ WORD in Hockey these days. Sorry unless you have a lot of speed the heavier team does nothing. He had a Heavy Team Boston. How did that work out. Speed Kills everything. They are all trying to use the Kings example as a heavy team. They won yes but how did that work for them this year, Boston, Toronto, San Jose, Philly all heavy teams missed the playoff. Only team that missed that should have been in was Columbus. Other than that Speed wins. Tampa, Detroit, Minnesota, Rangers, Ottawa, Montreal all with Speed.

Has Nothing to with Heavy. Get the RIGHT Players and mix and match with the current speed players.

And for the next three weeks, you will have Preakness pre-race show instead.

The Malkin/Crosby experiment is a failure. Penguins need to convert Malkin into 2-3 stud players with a trade, instead of putting all their cap room on two players that play the same position. Upgrade the Goalie and Defense and slightly weaken the forwards.

Getting rid of Malkin will do a lot more than "slightly weaken" the forwards.

I don't understand this argument. Most teams would kill to have a franchise player. You have two, and you want to get rid of one of them? You can improve the supporting cast without moving Malkin to do it. You need strength and depth down the middle to win in this league.
