So speaking of the Clarkson deal and cap circumvention, I wonder, if there was a guy like Jagr playing at age 43, could the Devils have pulled off that (fuck)Kovy deal with no penalty? The biggest argument back then would be that the Devils did not intend to have him playing at the end of the contract. A player currently playing at that age would derail that argument. Would it have made a difference? Is it sad I'm still thinking about this?

As puck mentioned previously in a tweet, Landeskog and McLeod were indeed fined for their actions in the game this past weekend against the Wild. Patrick Roy managed to avoid a fine (caman NHL)

Martin's a sack of crap. He took out Keith Ballard a couple of months ago with a flying elbow, and his latest NHL victim/defenseman is Trevor Daley. Daley did not return to the game after taking this knee on knee hit last night, and it's being reported Daley could miss weeks from this hit.

Martin has a phone call awaiting him to determine his immediate future. The ol wheel O Justice will be spun in Martin's honor.

I find knee on knees to be really tough to gauge in terms of intention...but yeah, he stuck his knee out there pretty obviously. I mean, I hate the guy for my own very old reasons.

He is pretty bulky, should take up a lot of the net area. why not?

I don't really care much about intentions, since I figure they won't matter much to the surgeon who operates on my knee. If you're reckless with your knee, you deserve whatever you get.

I've been playing this game for over 30 years and I've never gotten a kneeing penalty and/or hit someone knee on knee (whereas I've been hit knee on knee in both non-contact and full contact games quite a few times). I don't think I've just been lucky in that regard.
