Nice pic 43, Sid was in a great position to deliver the Valabik to Dubi.

Nick "I'm not an all-star but I play one on TV" Backstrom now leads the race for the Art Ross.

Stay angry, Mr. Backstrom. Stay angry.

Oh mylanta...has he been watching Bylsma highlights?! Seriously, that was one of my big complaints about ol' Danny boy. He was a fourth line grinder/scrub type, and he overvalued those players on his teams. Hence that whole run of Tanner Glass types on the team. Those guys would never get punished/criticized, but if Geno were to make a mistake because of his high risk/high reward moves (at times) it would come down on him. Now I have no idea if DB actually said these things, but even on defense, Bylsma would trot out "shutdown" AKA "immobile" guys while Simon Despres was in AHL.

So do we have enough of a sample size yet to state that Devan Dubnyk is a pretty good goalie when he has some pretty good defenders in front of him?

he was in a bad place last year ... took a while to get his technique back AND get that Coiler stench off his game ... credit Sean Burke :noidea:

/also full marks to Zona for A) realizing he was too good to have on their team and B) trading him to one of the last (playoff bubble) teams that was looking for a starting goalie ... so Glendale could stay in tank mode

EDIT: and hey ... do we have enough of a sample size yet to state that Ben Scrivens is a pretty average goalie when he has some pretty bad defenders in front of him? lol
