Better add diving to the list :)

Nyquist’s was a little more fancy. He was tied up a bit by Chris Kelly’s stick and came close to tossing on his Superman cape to draw a call.

Edit: 4000! :ipw:

A diving Red Wing? Shocking!

Yes, skat-a-ramas are about to become the 'new' thing of beauty in the new 'no-stick-action-for-you' Nat Ho League - but... oh yeah, your opponent gets away with all but one or two twiddlies, like an unavoidable delay of game, or two..

Panthers are apparently promoting the Nuck/Pans matchup as Luongo being harassed by an invisible Luongo or something.

That should whip the crowd into a frenzy.

Edit: Sorry, it's in Vancouver. There will actually be a crowd. But we know what happens when they get into a frenzy.

IMO, the Canucks should present Luongo with a golden tire, fully inflated, for his years of service to the organization.

Fly in Tim Thomas to present the tire?

It appears that the rumor mill has it that the Wild are weighing the possibility of poaching Cam Ward from the Hurricanes.

www.hngn.com

They damn sure need better net-minding than they're getting from Kuemper atm.

Not a bad deal - expiring contract, see what he's got left in the tank. They gotta do something...

Bloody Brian Burke: you asked about the Shane Doan trade rumors.

Apparently they are true according to one source. A tweet by Sports Hub AZ stated Doan gave GM Maloney a list of 5 teams he will waive to. Kings and Jets are only two confirmed teams on that list.

^^ all of that was denied by the Coyotes official twitter account

I can't see anybody giving up anything worth a damn for him. LA couldn't possibly fit him under the cap. Jets shouldn't part with any decent youngster for him.

Just call him the Bert of Binghamton (almost as catchy as the King of Kensington)

Todd Bertuzzi turns 40 in a few weeks and isn’t ready to hang up his skates just yet.

After spending the last five seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Bertuzzi has joined the AHL’s Binghamton Senators on a tryout (expected to be 25 games). He’ll report to the team on Monday.

The two greybeards (Jarome Iginla and Alex Tanguay) are leading the Avs in scoring at the halfway point this season (27 points). That probably explains why the Avs have struggled thus far this season.

Flames have waived Brian McGrattan - Just one more sign that the enforcer in the NHL is going the way of the passenger pigeon.

I think McGrattan's mentorship in the NHL's substance abuse program is admirable.

That said, he was nothing but a waste of a roster spot at this point.

I would argue he's been a waste of a roster spot since he came into the league. I am certainly no fan of old stonehands, but as you say - respect for going into and working with the substance abuse program. He's good for something after all.

And let's hope the end is nigh for the meatheaded goon. Please let Jared Boll be next. Please.

That's a huge disappointment from the younger guys.
