I know it's not everything, but even this season the Edmonton goaltenders have seen 6.5 fewer shots per 60 minutes than Reimer has.

Also not everything but telling, The Leafs have 4 defencemen who rank within the top-50 in turnovers league-wide, including forwards. Edmonton has 2.

I don't think Eberle is near enough to pry a potential stud defenseman like Dougie Hamilton out of Boston. Eberle + Yakupov might be enough, however everybody is holding onto their dmen like gold this season.

The Oilers missed the boat earlier this year and should have tried to land Johnny Boychuk.

I don't think there's any way Boston moves Hamilton. If they could promptly trade Marchand to Edmonton it would be swell, though...

This certainly is at least a factor, you can watch a Leaf game and see those 4 end up handling the puck a lot back there because the other 3 guys on the blue line, while they may have other strengths, handle the puck like a live grenade.

Pens injury bug growing quickly. Martin out tonight, Ehrhoff out at least 3 games. Pouliot making his NHL debut at last. At least the Pens have depth on D. But on D tonight is Letang-Despres, Pouliot-Scuderi, Harrington-Dumolin. Yep, on the 11th Dman now. Bortuzzo, Maatta, Ehrhoff, Martin all out. Weeeeeeee! Adams is also out, ending his ironman streak. Team is about half WBS now.
