Just think if Mr. Malkin wasn't full of Vodka.....
This would then be his reaction to his son's play.

Just think if Brodeur was given the Jeter treatment he would start 70 games for the Devils, have a good bye party in each city and unfortunately his stats would be (in comparison to what Jeter did this year):

W: 10 GAA: 5.05 Save PCT: .798 and zero shutouts.

Oilers Corsi numbers are 11 perecentage points higher than last year, it's just bad puck luck.

What you just heard was the sound of Tyler Dellow being fired at the same time as Lowe was given a 15 year extension.

This is very good news, Brodie and Gio are a fine tandem. Gio is likely to get north of $6 million on his next contract with Calgary.

I he keeps up the level of ply he's had over the last 8-9 months then he'll get more than that I think dash.

Gio has been amazing. I could see him wanting 7.5 per.

Yeah, 6 to 6.5 million is likely wishful thinking on my part.

Yeah, 6 to 6.5 million is likely wishful thinking on my part.

It's hard to get your head around salaries these days. For example Erik Karlsson makes 6.5 per year. Gio is playing his way into the tier occupied by guys like EK. Contrast that with Orpik getting $5.5M and 210 making $7M, who are both clearly inferior to Giordano. It's getting hard to assess value these days.

Maybe Gio plays the good guy and takes a slight hometown discount though.

They posted a graphic during last night's Bolts - Canucks game that listed points by defensemen from January 1st of this year and I think Gio was 3rd or 4th on the list (Karlsson was first and Weber was 2nd).

He's been fantastic. One of the biggest improvements at his age that I've ever seen. Over the last ~82 games he's been Norris calibre. But let's face it, he's no Brooks Asspik and he's certainly no Dion Phagoof.

So Tabasco has a head injury of some sort and some people on Blue Jackets fan sites are suggesting that the Jackets sign Bryzgalov as insurance in case McIlhiney doesn't come back or Bob gets hurt.

How soon we all forget.
