I he keeps up the level of ply he's had over the last 8-9 months then he'll get more than that I think dash.

It's hard to get your head around salaries these days. For example Erik Karlsson makes 6.5 per year. Gio is playing his way into the tier occupied by guys like EK. Contrast that with Orpik getting $5.5M and 210 making $7M, who are both clearly inferior to Giordano. It's getting hard to assess value these days.

Maybe Gio plays the good guy and takes a slight hometown discount though.

He's been fantastic. One of the biggest improvements at his age that I've ever seen. Over the last ~82 games he's been Norris calibre. But let's face it, he's no Brooks Asspik and he's certainly no Dion Phagoof.
