lol - Thanks for that post, Jim, I was just going to post something along the lines that I think the Sabres are approximtely $19 below the cap floor currently. They're going to have to go crazy in free agency.

Dellow thinks Ehrhoff would be a nice free agent pickup (and he includes a pretty picture):

Speaking of the cap floor, the Flames have some work to do to reach the floor. It sure looks like Matt Niskanen is gonna hit the jackpot on July 1st (I'm not saying it will be the Flames, but somebody is going to make him a very rich man).

I would love to have him on the Sens. He's a bonafide top 4 D-man.

I'd take him as a Ranger, on a cheaper two-year deal. Plug him on the PP and take Moore's spot on D.

Yeah, he's not going to be cheap. He's the cream of the D market now. Basically him and Niskanen.

Time for my daily "PLEASE TAKE SCUDERI" plea...but I'm pretty sure he won't go to Buffalo. He is a native NY guy? Maybe? Yeahhh, probably not.

Anyone else think Marty ends up retiring because there's simply no one who wants/needs him?

I sure as heck hope nobody signs him, then it'll knock some sense into Marty that there's no point in going to another team - he has the cups, all the records with the Devils and he can't play competently anymore, just retire with the Devils and don't be like Mike Modano, who went to Detroit in his last year and was a major flop

Every athlete wants to go out on top...but even if he miraculously chooses the one team that will win...he's not going to be a big contributor. When I sit and think about every contender: they have their goalies. BOTH goalies. Heck, the teams he listed all have both. If Pittsburgh ends up moving MAF, it's not for the sake of old man Marty.

I can almost guarantee he's coming to Toronto. Expect a Reimer trade in the next day or two.

Can't wait to hear Davey and Co. defending this.

I know Pittsburgh has made some questionable moves so far and obviously their awful playoff performance is fresh in peoples' minds, but this is extreme.

In order to protect my fellow Pittsburgh ladies, I present North Hills native, Pitt alum, and current Miss PA, Valerie Gatto:

Marty wants to win a cup and goes to Toronto, yep that makes a whole lot of sense
