Stars had a lot of misses early in that period too though - assuming 2013 is his first draft the only players worth much he got from 2013-2016 were Hintz, Nichushkin and Jason Dickinson despite having first round picks all of those years.

2017 was a grand slam but then 2018-2020 again only Harley to show for it.

Yeah, there's few good ones on there. Werenski missing a whole season getting his shoulder blown apart and coming back to play at a high level is a good story. Joey Daccord is also for finally breaking through. OEL having a rebirth is pretty good too. (Don't throw things at me Vancity fans.)

But some are pretty WTF. Like Jon Quick. So dedicated to refusing to play for anyone but the Rangers! And Sid. What perseverance it must take to be one of the four best players in the world and go to work every day. Pietrangelo also has an extreme dedication to avoiding being another target of cap circumvention? Matt Duchene wants to be a country music star but has to live in Dallas now?

Would be nice if they put something in the story about the circumstances on why they were nominated.

If I had to pick my two teams to make the last two playoff spots in the East, it would be the Pens and Sabres. Pens mainly because Crosby deserves one more chance in the dance and Sabres because their fans deserve to see their team in the playoffs.
