Just to be clear, in no way am I supporting the action of Hamas. All I'm saying is that it's not as straight-forward a situation as the NHL statement appears to be conveying above. At times, it's better to remain quiet then issue a statement that in my opinion just muddies the waters even more.

I know a common deflecting tactic is "BOTH SIDES", but in this case both sides have well more than their share of nastiness in their past. But no one seems capable (or allowed) to just not pick a side.

I think the way it was written, all pre-game on ice and practice displays are out. Therefore no camo jerseys/tape, purple jerseys/tape etc. All of it is out. Players are permitted to attend non-NHL events in support of whatever causes they want. Just on ice displays are out.

And that Olivier stick is better utilized on your wall than it ever was in that guy's hands.

Not worth trying to put up much of a fight, is it? NHL doesn't want any criticism and demands compliance or else you'll be blackballed from the league.
