That's no fun - I remember the dark years of the Flames (late 90's into the early 00's) and those teams were tough to watch (aside from Iggy).

The last 8 years have been absolute shit in Vancouver. Even the bubble year while fun was bullshit as if that year played out we don't make the "playoffs"

But we have had some fun this year and I wish they changed the coaches one month earlier and we have a different end. Holy man 11 years wow

If Toronto didn’t make it in the lockout-shortened 2013 season they would’ve gone 12 years (11 seasons because fuck Bettman), and in some ways I wish they had.

I appreciate that Doug went all in when he had good tans here always tried bringing in vets for playoff runs. Really wish we would have got a cup during that span. A lot of very talented players, coaches, and staff that it would have been very cool to see win it all.

4 conference final losses and 1 Cup final loss spread out 15 years is pretty impressive. Compare that to the other GM's who've been around forever - Poile has 1 Cup final loss to show for his 25 years and a bunch of first and second round exits, Chevy has 1 conf. final in 11 years, Jarmo has 1 second round appearance in 9 years, Jim Nill has jack shit except a Bubble Final to show in the same time span...

At least Wilson did keep the Sharks competitive for a long stretch. He definitely lost the plot toward the end though.

Hopefully it will result in a change of culture in the club house. There brand of soft and passive hockey can't win in this league and it makes for a rather dull watching experience.
