does he have any international medals? i think the Sedins are in partly because of their points, longevity, commitment to the game and international success. but they also have individual hardware.
No but he has three Cups and was instrumental in two of them. I also think the Sedins are in in large part because one has a Hart and both have Art Ross trophies and there's nobody with an Art Ross to date that isn't in the Hall.

The answer is no, he's not a HHOF'er, but given that the HHOF's entrance requirements are lax as hell at this point I'd say he's 50-50.

Thats the way I feel about it also.

Of course, I forgot to mention the Iron Man streak (not that it did Doug Jarvis any good). He also has a little more personality than most today and will probably open a chain of hot dog stands after he hangs them up. Oh, and was famously called out by a US President who probably couldn't name 5 players on the team.

It was mostly the 1,000 points which both surprised me and made me pause for thought.

He averaged almost 32 goals/82 games for 11 seasons which is even more impressive considering he spent 6 of those years with Matt Stajan and Tyler Bozak as his centres. Only 4 players scored more goals during that span and they're all Hall bound (he also had the 8th most points in the league during that span and all 8 ahead of him on that list are also all Hall bound).

It'll be like a Pierre Turgeon case in ten years or something, except a bit stronger because he did play big roles in Cup wins.

Starting to get the itch for the season to start again. But the news wire is dead, so wonder if you all think these are HoF stats:
Games Goals Assists Points PIM Playoffs(same stats)
NHL Totals128641357999240210034498324

If this player gets a contract (now you know who it is) and can find 8 more points, they will have 400+ goals, 1000 points. No trophies to speak of.

HoF-worthy or just a nice career?
If he can beat Joey Chestnut next 4th of July he is a shoe-in. :D

Seriously though certain aspects of his game get frowned upon but the offensive numbers, the stanley cups and Iron Man streak could account for a yes vote.

Had no clue he was still playing professionally last year in the AHL.

It's dragged on far too long, time for some closure and discipline/punishment.
It’s beginning to seem like the Trump saga, all these reports about what’s going to happen and nothing ever does

no, i think the hammer is coming down for these guys.

Hockey Canada has had enough of a black eye over this, they cannot afford to be viewed as protecting anyone anymore.

And if it focuses the hockey world's attention away from the glaring lack of punishment for the Chicago gang, that serves the establishment. They would gladly sacrifice some mid-level NHLers to not have to actually punish the old boys club.

Both situations should be punished with equally big and angry hammers.

To anyone thinking of doing the Fanatics bet/free jersey promo, some people are receiving their jerseys.

I just imagine some Indonesian child looking at the name that is supposed to be on it and saying "fuck it, I am not even trying"
