Due diligence HAD to be so thorough for something like this. Miller had a track record of being a huge piece of shit. It's unfathomable that the Bruins didn't kick over every rock while vetting this kid, including getting information from victim(s) and their family.

I get that these events happened when Miller was 13-14 and I don't think actions at that age should necessarily preclude you from doing what you want in life. But is there any evidence that Miller has done anything substantive to atone for his heinous shit? Has he made real any attempt at true understanding, developing empathy and self-reflection? I honestly don't know. I suspect the Bruins don't either.

Pretty fucked up that he seems to have just accepted the Bruins' FO's word about this and put that out as "insider" info. He said he'd "do better" after the Kyle Beach scandal and that isn't at all what happened here.
