Where’s Kylington? He was scratched personal at the start Of the season and that was all we ever heard? They need that puck movement and speed on the break out.

None of the Canadian Pac Div teams look good. If it wasn’t for process of elimination by the other two CA teams sucking I don’t think any of them would make the playoffs. So lucky for Calgary, there’s time to fix this.

They're being hush-hush on Oliver which makes me think it's some of personal/family thing, but you're right, he is very much missed out there. It's pretty crazy/lucky when the Flames waived him early last season and nobody put in a claim. No timeframe that I've read when Oliver will be returning though.

question for the goaliers in the group - can a slash like that actually get in there are do damage (noting that the blade was not in play)?
I only ask because Quick can be a diving bitch at times.

Considering how the 4 guys taken after him are doing so far this isn’t great for LA (although incredibly fortunate for their division rivals).

Absolutely it can make contact with your face inside the pro regulation cat eye cage, it's why every level below pro uses a shallower arc for the eye bar and a double nose bar. With HECC certified cat eye cages you can barely get a butt end through, but the pro ones can get most stick blade ends through and the heel like that (depending on angle) can get through.

And it doesn't happen by accident.

Some pros also bend the cage so the nose bar is very close to their nose and thus all bars are closer to their face and less in their line of vision which makes it easier to both get concussions on direct puck hits and easier for sticks to get in.

on this angle it was the blade anyway (thought it was just a bit of a slash across)
Tkachuk is a coont. there is no other purpose for this than to try to cause eye damage

That wasn't what got him suspended, though was it? I thought he jammed the heel of the stick in there another play.

Peter McNab and Pete Mahovlich were essentially the same players in the same role for the Bruins and Habs respectively. It makes sense that they share the same initials as well as first names. RIP.

So he hit Quick three separate times in the face? The one that started the scrum earlier, the slash going after the puck and then a second later a poke with the blade...

2 games is not enough.

He never played like that in Calgary, it must be the Florida influence :D
