Rangers and Hawks game is tough. I desperately want the Rangers to lose to the worst team in the league but I do not want anything good to happen to the Blackhawks. Ever.

How does this affect their cap situation?

Pierre buried the lead in the 2nd half of his tweet...

Ducks, meanwhile, benefit with deferred payments by having $4.57M AAV (instead of $6M AAV) on the deal.

So every time a player gets a deferred salary. Does Bobby Bonilla earn his wings?

I'd rather give Atlanta another try...

The planned location for the arena in Atlanta, which is around Alpharetta. Is a totally different demographic even when the Thrashers left vs now.
It is highly populated with many folks who are into hockey.

Not to say it would work well but it would absolutely be much better than anything Phoenix could put together.

It's all those former New Yorkers and Bawston folks who cashed in and relocated to the Atlanta metro area :D

Same note, I swear there are more people from Pittsburgh in Atlanta than there are Pittsburghers in Pittsburgh.

I know I've posted this previously, but I really enjoyed my 18 months in Atlanta. I was in the Buckhead area which was pretty trendy at the time and there's no shortage of things to do and see.

Yeah, I am in Atlanta enough for work I could call it home and in Alpharetta most of the time or over in Gwinnett.

*googles demographics of Alpharetta and area*

Yeah this is probably a better idea lol
It is actually a pretty good area for hockey. Granted coming back to Atlanta is not the right thing to do but Gary Bettman never does the right thing anyway.

Do the Gladiators play at the Gas South Arena? 13,000 seating capacity is pretty good for an ECHL franchise.

Yeah they play there. It is off of 85 in Gwinnett County, nice complex (saw a few Gladiators games). Granted it is a dated arena but still nice for an ECHL team.
Funny every time they do a "Thashers" night it sells out.

Honestly think if the NHL came back to Atlanta this would become an AHL affiliate being so close and then the team in Greenville SC or Savannah GA (which also has a very nice new arena) would be the ECHL or vice versa. They also built a new arena in Athens with the intent of getting an ECHL franchise, that arena is currently used for UGA and some lower minor leagues. This would be yet another close option for a minor league affiliate with a nicer arena.
