It is actually a pretty good area for hockey. Granted coming back to Atlanta is not the right thing to do but Gary Bettman never does the right thing anyway.
Oh I meant that. It’s like the Braves moving to Cobb.

If you’re going to play in a traffic clogged market with very intense demographic boundaries it’s probably best to be much closer to where your base is.

Exactly. Doing anything in the city is beyond stupid in Atlanta especially when everyone is coming from the north side anyway. Heck they are building another exit off 400 (34°06'10.8"N 84°14'38.9"W) just to anticipate for the so-called possible arena.

What pisses me off this off-ramp is 20 years too late. I used to get stuck trying to get on 400 at Windward (34°05'17.4"N 84°15'42.7"W) back when every corporation had offices in that area. Now most are gone, or in the Avalon (next exit down) so the traffic isn't as bad as it used to be.

I live in Vancouver and the closest highway ramp to the hockey arena is in another city across a bridge that was out of date before it even opened.

I shed thee no tears lol

Another move today that just made the Rangers better. Hopefully he never sees the NHL again.

Caps and Sabres facing off tonight while the visiting team is buried in snow is usually the other way around. ;)

Sabres lost the lead in 3rd period again, but won in the skill competition.

103.7

Protas netted one as well. It was a good night for forwards that are 6'6" tall.

Jiricek was traded for a haul over a month ago and he’s still only played AHL games lol
To be fair, so has the guy he was traded for.

BUT that guy has 8 points in 14 AHL games. Jiricek has 2 in 11. And two callups where he hasn't seen any action. Not to mention the Wild lost a RHD to injury and called up a LHD over him.

And the kid may still be alright.

But, again, haul. And they’re a contending team today. If they go out early and waste a year of this core that’s one hell of a what if considering what that outlay might get you in the current trade market.

I was just thinking that if Canada does become the 51st state, that's one less anthem to be played when a Canadian team plays an American team.

I was thinking that if there was a merger and each province became a state (with the requisite number of electoral votes) we would probably never see another Republican controlled branch of government again. Canadian Conservatives are politically closer to Democrats than the GoP.

So I say let's do it. And name it the Gulf of Saskatoon.
