Mutual termination. Has always been an option, the player just usually doesn’t want to do that because he usually wont get that money elsewhere.

Which is definitely the case with Saad. Really ballsy move on his part.
well then fuck you Luongo lol

Just like the Penguins sending down Pickering but continue to play Graves, PO Joseph and Ryan Shea.
If you want to tank as a team and namely on defense, just recall Jarry to play goalie and don't kill Blomqvist's career before it starts.

There's just no logical reason to terminate the contract and risk that much. Wonder if he already has a deal lined up.

Even if he goes to the A, it's a one way contract. He makes the same no matter what. Better to refuse it, go to the A and eat a buyout over the summer.

Devs/Flyers (or NSY/PLA to Friedman) is starting to get nasty.

That is pretty damn impressive. Only Scotty Bowman has more.

Man, talk about a suicide pass up the middle - I have no problem with this hit, by the way unlike that clown Luke Gazdic who didn't like it saying the puck was gone. That's a bang-bang play Luke, but oh that's right, if an Oilers player delivered that hit, you'd be praising it.

I was watching this live and Torts lost his shit. I was thinking he would double shift the player if it was one of his guys who delivered that hit.

Not great news for the Stars...Although the Four Nations tourney coming up gives him more time to heal and not miss more NHL games.
