The Mets just took 4 straight from the Yankees. The Yankees are practically unrecognizable, they need their stars back ASAP.

At least the Yankees seem to have pretty good chemistry right now. Don't worry, A-Rod will take care of that as soon as he gets back.

From Elias: The Brewers' win over the Phillies dropped Cole Hamels' record this season to 1-9. Hamels is the first Phillies pitcher since Kid Gleason in 1891 to lose nine or more games in a season before June.

Somehow in my mind this fits here.

I will call it the rip off of the day.

This occured to Hisashi Iwakuma.

What did he get for his 8 i.p, 5 K 0 walk, and 3 hit performance against the White Sox today?

A big fat nothing (no decision).

What is it with all these offensive explosions setting all sorts of MLB records? Every morning I turn Twitter on and it's blown up with the latest feats.

I hope the Padres can get one of them. There aren't many teams currently in the mix who could use a starter worse than us.

What MLB Games Are You Watching Today?

Four for me and I'm looking to all of them equally! Parts of the night games will be P-I-P but my main interest will be the Reds game tonight.

2:20 EST Pirates @ Friendly Confines
7:10 EST Cards @ Reds
8:10 EST Padres @ Rockies
10:10 EST Braves @ Dodgers

I'm optimistic the Reds can take the series from the Cards and am all-in on the Yasiel Puig love. Always good to start things off with a Cubs day game.

Dunno if it's true that Everth Cabrera is taking PED's, but if it is, they're working.

Kid is playing like a BEAST. :omg:

Not worthy of a thread and don't know where else to put it, but Canada should be banned from playing in the MLB until they can get some real fucking grass up there. Yes, we have artificial turf in the US but it is like they have perma-frost or concrete painted green. That 3D shit they have jsut makes me think that county is a joke all that much more.

Anyone need a catcher? Henry Blanco is available and likely to get picked up pretty quick.

You are probably not joking, so, I will try to be kind. While I agree that every team needs a backup catcher, and, that said catcher should be a solid plus behind the plate ( calling games, throwing out runners ), I do not think teams will be beating down the door of a 41 year old career backup that can never seem to hit his weight in avg.

But I could be wrong..........

I'm not even sure Ty Cobb managed to hit Blanco's weight. Ever!

We should start a thread of the ignorant and foolish stuff that Harold Reynolds says.
