The Tigers have played well against over .500 teams, for the most part at 26-21 .554-- now, it's high time they just playing more consistently vs the non-contenders they have to this point.
Yeah the Tigers are 4th in the AL in winning percentage against teams above .500 (behind the Rangers, Orioles, and Red Sox), while they are 8th against teams below .500.The Tigers have played well against over .500 teams, for the most part at 26-21 .554-- now, it's high time they just playing more consistently vs the non-contenders they have to this point.
Yesterday the Astros played their 50th game against a team with a record at or above .500, it was just their 10th win.

Better get their act together because they got a crapload of games against the chi sox coming up....their last 20 games are pretty easy on paper also
True, over the last two seasons (plus the little bit of this season played in August so far) the Tigers have the best record in baseball. Here are the standings for August/SeptemberWell, what we're learning here is that it hasn't made a difference what team logo is on the jersey.. it's simply that time of the year for the Tigers. I mean, you look at what they've done in August and September of the past couple years, and you ask yourself, has it mattered who they were playing then?? No?? Okay, so what difference does it make now?? What I've learned is that the Tigers turn into the exorcist this time of year, and that's all there is to it.
I don't expect the Tigers to be "afraid" of anyone right now, they are dealing. Should be a great series in early September when Detroit comes to BostonRed Sox are ugly.. granted.. but, Detroits not afraid of you brosephus.....
