Longoria has 10 hits this season, all singles. This is the furthest he's gone into a season without hitting a home run.

.....so i hope this lasts until he is done with the rangers.....i know he is young but jeez didnt know he hits a HR every 7 games into the season

There are rumblings, nothing serious at the moment, about the Mets being interested in Stanton from the Marlins. The rumor is it would cost us Zack Wheeler and Travis D'Arnaud, our top 2 prospects. I'm not sure what to make of this.

I'd be ok with creating a package around one or the other, but I'm not sure about both.

If I had to choose one of the 2, I think I'd rather deal Wheeler. Niese and Harvey figure to be the 1-2 guys for the forseeable future (health permitting), if we could retain D'Arnaud, add Stanton and then make a play for a free agent outfielder coming up (Ellusbury, Choo) that is a disgusting lineup.

Yeah a top pitching prospect and the top C prospect is a lot to give up. But if it had to include 1 Wheeler would be the better choice only because of the prospect depth the Mets already have at pitching.
