I started a franchise on MLB 2k13 with the Marlins. I chose them because of the low budget. I wanted to see what kind of team I could put together and maintain. I'm pretty happy with my lineup and hitting prospects I have in AAA, but my pitching staff is.......lacking.

Rick Porcello's stock is heating up nicely.

Tigers should not trade starting pitcher Rick Porcello, who could be on the verge of a "career breakthrough," Rosenthal writes. Rosenthal says scouts from the Padres, Rangers, Red Sox, Orioles, Dodgers and Cardinals were all in attendance to watch Porcello pitch a minor-league game Wednesday. One possibility for the Tigers to keep Porcello, Rosenthal says, is to put him in their rotation and then send Drew Smyly to Triple-A or use Smyly as a reliever.

Totally random. Dodger fans might be interested.

I think they're going to regret this.

I hope for their sake it's a front loaded deal and not evenly distributed throughout. Almost $20 million a year is a ton of money to be spending on a 35+ pitcher. The guy is a stud though so I can't fault them for holding on to him.

My only wish for this guy was to stay healthy enough for us to trade him to a contender. Between him, Jason Bay and Bobby Bonilla we may be paying more money to guys not on the field.

Well there is a team option that I can't possibly imagine they pickup up after this season. Aside from the Mets, I don't know too many teams that are dying to sign an aging pitcher with arm issues. So even if he can pitch I'm not sure who would take a chance on him.

At least you have Harvey and Wheeler coming up this year. If that helps the sting of this.

d'Arnaud sounds like he should be pretty good for you too. Maybe see him in late April or May.
