Back peddling, sweet !!

Nothing I said there isn't something I have said all season. It is not back peddling it is being able to see my team for what it is...One full of talent and potential but also plenty of things that could spell doom down the road.

As I have told Tgann I have no issue with the idea that my team can and will eventually lose. How they do in the playoffs we shall see. I can see them losing first round heck I can still see them missing the playoffs. How is that for drinking cool aid. You and Tgann though seem so fixated on Manning and only Manning and either A) thinking he will continue to play the way he has up to this point all year (which hey is possible) or B) say he does turn it around he will just blow it in the playoffs when it really matters (again very possible). Both of you have said that you love Manning but honestly your posts just seem to suggest you just hope he fails and the Broncos fail just more to be proven right than anything else. The problem is I agree with you guys that all of these things could cost the Broncos. I can also see though Manning turning it around. I can also see this defense being the real deal and being the most talented group that Wade has ever had to execute his very aggressive style of defense.

As for him being a journeyman. Well usually journeyman types who people figure out don't last from clear back in 1969 to now. There is a reason he keeps finding work because people love what he brings to the table. And if people have figured out his defense then why are they the #1 ranked defense? I mean if it is so easy to beat why does it take an elite QB to do it as you are suggesting? So essentially you are saying about 3-4 teams can actually do well against this defense? And hey guess what maybe you are right that they will tear this defense apart. We will find out in just a few weeks as the Broncos play the Packers in Denver. That should be a huge test to see if this defense is more than just a good group.

Seem Fixated on Manning?

yes I agree bc how he plays dictates your playoff destiny. By the way Manning has played in the playoffs I don't think Denver has any chance.

Again... Load the box stop the run... Pressure Manning into uncomfortable throws via pressure wait for turnovers and the deep ball isn't a threat just an opportunity for an int.

Considering both of you just keep talking about how he has played and very little about the Broncos defense or special teams or well really any other player on the team hardly at all it is what you guys give me to talk about. I do agree though Manning has to play better and really the entire offense has to play better. The OL has to start getting some kind of run game going. They have to protect Manning better and Manning has to hit some of those deep balls to make teams have to fear that part of his game again. Teams are daring him to do so. Have to see how he answers that call. Thankfully the last 2 games he has hit at least 2 deep balls in both of them. Seems like he is getting a little better as the protection around him has gotten better.

Playoff defenses own Manning and I like the guy but he is just a marginal playoff QB at best...nothing special IMO...pressure kills him and the great decisions he usually makes in the reg season goes out the window in the playoffs...

Just don't see it... He's good for 11-13 wins a reg season but not winning another SB.

I don't agree because in 06 when Indy went to the SB and won, Manning had a QBR of like 70 and threw 3tds/7int . He did have a big game and comeback vs NE in AFCG though

Just have to see. With this being his last year does that motivate him and the team to rise above it all like we saw with the Ravens when your boy announced he was retiring? All bets are off come playoff time. We seen plenty of players turn things around. Look at your boy Flacco. Honestly his first few years in the playoffs he was terrible then he had one magical run in the playoffs. Sometimes things just all work together. Then like I said we could see another 1 and done type year. Just never know how players are going to react and how Manning is going to react.

Yeah. Manning was 9 years younger and was at least a moderate deep ball threat. Now that's laughable.

Yeah. I see Manning getting beat up in the playoffs. Quick out.

Wouldn't surprise me if he did.

For the record I am a huge Manning fan. His character sets him above most in my book.

I just remember him throughout his career where he could kill you from any spot on the field recently that has been diminished and defenses see it and scheme for it.

Incredible career.

Missing what I am saying, he had a bad playoff run and the D helped him out. It's when he thinks he has to do it all and burden all the weight. Now he knows he just has to control time of possession, score if possible and avoid turnovers, the D can usually have a team go 3 and out. That 3rd down D is one of the best I have seen, and easily this year

Not to mention, he beat the lowly Bears and the Elite Rex Grossman at qb....He should've got a special ring for that great feat huh ?.....It should say Gift on it though !!

Yawn.

1/4 of season down and the tuffest part of our season over... we shall see...:pound:

I'm not sure about that, the Ravens final 4 games are pretty brutal. Seahawks, Chiefs, Steelers, @Bengals. The good news for the Ravens is that 3 of those games are at home, but that still looks like a really tough stretch. And all 4 of those teams are better than the Raiders.[/QUOTE]

Agree it is not only that they started out 0-3 but that they started out 0-3 against conference opponents. That means head to head and conference ranking both come into play making it very difficult to see Baltimore winning many tie breakers at the end of the year.

Since you love the stats so much, here's one for you; PM has 9 playoff 1 and done's.....So stats say here comes #10 according to your formula...

Gift from Reche Caldwell. Pats were up 24-7 and then that bug eyed fucker dropped 3 easy passes, 1 in endzone and 2 in the redzone, catch any of the 3 and Pats go to SB

BB had his number for the most part, like PM had ours back then....That was just one of those off games I've been trying to make CD aware of....He can't get the stats out of his eyes long enough to recognize the rest of the game tho...
